PLAYER PROFILE
Player name: Robin
Age: 31
Contact: [plurk.com profile] vikinged | robin#5467
Characters currently in-game: Nakahara Chuuya, Bungou Stray Dogs, [personal profile] indensity
Triggers/Fears/Squicks: I'm good!!

RNG Housing Preference (Select One): Roommates.

Character Motivation: She's a hero. If the multiverse needs saving, she has to do it. Plus, she has a dimensional hopper, so she definitely thought she'd be able to just pop back where she came from as needed. Obviously she was wrong about that.

VOLUNTEER PROFILE

Name: Gwen Stacy
Age: 19
Physical Appearance: here, and as gwenom here
Point in Timeline: After the Gwenom arc
World Description: Earth, but some people have superpowers, and a few well known Marvel heroes are bad guys instead of good guys, such as Matt Mur(der)dock.
History/Background: Marvel wiki saves the day!

Noteworthy Positive Characteristics: Gwen has an incredibly strong sense of justice, instilled in her by her father. When her dad finds out that she's spider-woman, she tells him that her mask is her badge, that only she can define what that means. And she eventually turns herself in for her vigilantism, and is sent to prison for a year. Halfway through her sentence, S.H.I.E.L.D. offers her a legal way out, but she turns it down, because she needs to prove to the world what she stands for. She often makes reckless mistakes, and she can fuck up pretty badly, but she'll won't run from the consequences when she does.

She is also very protective, of her dad, her friends, and strangers as well. It's part of the job description as a superhero, but she takes it very seriously, and protecting those she cares about comes before her own reputation, or before the law. While she doesn't run from consequences herself, she will encourage those she cares about to do so. She tries to help her dad escape prison when he turns himself in to protect her, even turning to Matt Murdock, devil's advocate extraordinaire, to help him, and she helps her BFF Harry Osborn run away after he kind of turns into a lizard and goes on a rampage.

Gwen has a sense of humor, which she brings with her on her job, true spider-person style. She loves jokes, loves humor, loves games, although she's really bad at puns. She's the wisecracking superhero we all love, every time she catches another bad guy. She also loves having fun with friends, letting go and enjoying herself. She's down for band practice or game night. Well. When she's not being unreliable (see below).

She can also be analytical when the situation calls for it. She has a talent for detective work, and knows about police procedure through her dad. She cares about getting to the bottom of things, about the truth of a situation. When she hears that humans-turned-giant-lizards are back, she tracks them down, finds out where they're hiding, finds out how they came into existence. She tracks down lost friends across the multiverse.

And she's stubborn, for better or worse. She won't give up. She might be willing to look for alternative solutions if it turns out she was wrong, but she won't stop. Which is how she ends up trying to out-stubborn her dad in the competition of who should protect who. He goes to jail, she gets involved with untrustworthy lawyers to get him out, and then gets in more trouble when she won't actually play the untrustworthy lawyers game.

Noteworthy Negative Characteristics: She's a show-off, and she loves attention. When she first becomes spider-woman, she's doing it for the fame and the attention. She's just having fun with it. She says it freed her from responsibilities, and she didn't consider becoming a superhero until her dad commented that spider-woman could be using her powers for good. It threw the situation into perspective for her.

She is definitely reckless, and there's a reason that, in spite of her trying to keep her identity a secret, everyone keeps finding out. Her dad, small-time villains, big-time villains, cops who want to arrest her, her friends... Eventually she goes public with her identity, so I guess she doesn't have to worry about that anymore.

But it's important to mention that while she will face the consequences for her actions, she doesn't usually see them coming (joking around while she attacked a giant lizard turned into that lizard dying when it turned back into a human?? And now people think she's a murderer??). And while she'll take responsibility, it can take her a bit to figure out what those responsibilities are and how best to do that (it took years for her to turn herself in and let a jury of her peers judge her).

She's also unreliable. Being spider-woman has always been about escape for her, even if it also eventually becomes about taking responsibility. But even as she's working hard to turn spider-woman into a recognized force for good, she's neglecting her friends. She's late for practice, she doesn't return calls. Being spider-woman is a way to run away from her regular life, which she's found harder to deal with after her best friend died because of her.

Powers/Abilities: Super strength, flexibility, speed, durability. She can lift about ten tons, she's faster than even a well trained athlete, and she can take a hit that would break a normal person in multiple ways. She has a spider-sense that warns her about incoming danger.

She actually lost the powers given to her by the spider bite, but she regained a version of those powers when she joined with venom. Now she can also create her own spider webs, and she can make clothes such as her venom outfit. She can use that same ability to turn herself invisible, though she only does that once.

She can create miniature spiders that she can hide on a person (she hides them in her dad's shoes), which will warn her if something's wrong.

She has a dimensional hopper, which allows her to jump between dimensions (as the name suggests...). She definitely tried to smuggle this with her to Zhautas, and definitely didn't succeed.
Character Fears: She's afraid of losing control of herself and her emotions, and acting selfishly because of it. She struggled with that especially after venom became part of her, and it took her a long time to get back to her senses. She's terrified of losing those close to her because of mistakes she's made. She's scared of losing her Taylor Swift vinyl.
Personal Item: Her Taylor Swift vinyl.
